Type of the Firewall Network

A firewall is a set of programs created to examine network traffic and demand service.manfaat use of a firewall is preventing the delivery of foreign data into or out of the network . have a simple route filtering firewall that is configured to reject data transmission that does not have the authority . while the advanced firewall which includes a bastion host is running a proxy mechanism for its services provided.

This mechanism requires user authentication relays checked then perform the requested services to the host that provides the service .
Because the firewall is the first line of defense against intruders then the configuration should be careful and should be tested before use .

firewall has two types :

• IP filtering firewall

An IP filtering firewall works at the packet level . This type of firewall is designed to control
flow of packets based on source address , destination , port and packet type information contained in the each package . IP filtering firewall is very safe but can ignore the number of logs that may important . IP filtering firewall can withstand / block someone from businesses access to the network private / closed network but will not be able to tell who's who access or who access the Internet from the private network . By using IP filtering firewall , we do not will be able to provide access from the outside to the private network to a particular person without provide such access to everyone from outside the private network . That is , we can not pick and choose which users can access private network from outside .

• Proxy Server .

Proxy servers provide Internet access indirectly through the firewall . The best example can menggambaran way it works is someone who telnet into a system and then do telnet again to another system . The difference is with a proxyserver example is the proxy server , the process will run automatically . When the user connects to proxy servers with a software client , the proxy server will start the software belonging to the proxy client and then forwards the data to the user earlier .
Because the proxy server to duplication of all communication , it can be done logs to anything done by the proxy server . The log can contain records anyone using a proxy , what is accessible , when it happens , and others . proxy servers This will have a high level of security when configured properly . In the proxy server there is no direct IP routing.
